A know a lot of SUP-ers come from surfing, I did, but find myself not very often in the water anymore....without a paddle.

What about you folks?

Yep I do - but I only bother on certain swells.  My prior obsession with surfing changed with SUP - I can't be done with the mouths in the regular line up.  It's a better breed with SUP - maybe I'm just gettin' way older  Tongue

I still surf / longboard and windsurf, and this SUP fills in a nice gap, for when it's either not windy enough for windsurfing, but a bit too windy to really enjoy my shortboards.

I think I've used my shortboard 2x in the past 2.5 years as a SUP'er.  Kind of boring now.

Yes it's tricky , once you get used to the high wave count with a SUP, it's tricky to go back to riding anything different.
