Thinking About buying a paddle for my man's b'day.
So Wood or Carbon?

Wood looks ....well...better, but carbon might be lighter and stronger.

Any thoughts?

Carbon every time Kirsten if you can afford the difference.  Lighter, stronger, better.  Grin

Carbon I would also say - if you're gonna really get into the paddle surfing.  I only used to get a few seasons out of a wooden paddle but when I changed to the CF, I last bought a paddle 7 years ago (yeah, I've been at it for a few years).  Less shoulder strain too for sure.

I would also go with carbon Kirsten.  I used wooden paddles before and once I tried a mate's carbon paddle, I changed over and won't be putting any wood in the water again  Wink
